The first public art museum founded in the Western United States, the Crocker Art Museum was established in 1885 and is one of the leading art museums in California today. The Museum offers a diverse spectrum of special exhibitions, events, and programs to augment its collections of Californian, European, Asian, African and Oceanic artworks and international ceramics.
The Crocker Art Museum opens its doors on three Monday holidays from 10 AM to 5 PM: Presidents Day, Labor Day, and New Year's Eve. Museum admission is free on Holiday Mondays.
